Our Platform

  • Explore the development of a full-time preschool for 3 and 4 year-old children within the Dover School District staffed by highly-trained teachers. This will provide our children with scientifically proven benefits as they enter our K – 12 School District well prepared for the opportunities ahead of them.

  • Continue to provide and look for innovative professional development opportunities for our teachers, as this will improve student learning overall. The Dover School District has budgeted $234,000 for the 2017-2018 academic school year for teacher professional development.

  • Explore the establishment of a Dover Middle School football program that is funded and managed by the Dover School District.  The Dover Midget Football recreation program was unable to field necessary teams in order to participate in the Morris County Midget Football League this year. The loss of a program for this age group will create a void for the Dover High School program, as there will be no feeder program for the team.

  • Continue to be fiscally responsible to the taxpayers as there has been a nearly 0% increase in taxes over the last ten years due to school budget increases.

  • Continue supporting and creating school district collaborations with our Dover community such as:

    • The Dover Middle School program that shares gift bags and provides music for the Dover nursing home residents

    • Our continuing collaboration with the Town of Dover in providing music for the Dover Tree Lighting

    • The Dover High School Key Club working with the Dover Area Historical Society on service projects

    • Our student organizations running successful food drives for area food banks

    • Allowing school sporting events to be open to the public free of charge

    • Support of all Dover Recreation programs use of our schools and fields
