Scott Miller & Don Fritch
For Dover Board of Education
Empowerment Through Education
The Education First team believes in the liberating effects of a fulfilling and holistic education. It is through educational endeavors that opportunities arise for all students regardless of race, religion, class, sexual orientation or legal status.
In order to provide an empowering education the Education First team of Miller and Fritch are committed to pursuing all possible avenues of advancement for our students. It is this strong belief in the importance of effective education that has raised Dover Public School District test scores well beyond those of local area schools that are able to spend more per student. Dover High School is certified as a Blue Ribbon school and has also received the U.S. News and World Report Best High Schools Silver Award for several consecutive years.
It is through existing programs and partnerships that Dover students advance to prestigious universities, fulfilling careers, and bright futures. These programs include SAT prep courses, partnerships with colleges and universities that allow students to earn college credits, and specialized "academies" that allow students to explore a potential career such as careers in the health industry (Health and Sciences Academy) and the performing arts (Fine and Performing Arts Academy). Education First supports the development, and success of existing programs and the creation of similar inclusive and diverse programs for Dover students.
We believe in a strong partnership with our community and our teachers to focus on what is really important: the education of our students. At times negative misinformation about our schools circulates and often takes away from more meaningful priorities. Our goal is to redirect focus back to the student community and continue to push for improved initiatives that will encourage academic success and ensure the bright futures we all desire for our children.
